Big River

Amy and I went to see our friends in Bryan, Tx and got to see Clint in the play Big River. It was a blast. We also had fun visiting and having lunch and dinner. :-)

April TTT

We had a great time at the April 2009 TTT. We got our close friend James to come also. We are talking about trying to have more than one event a month so I am suggesting FFF (First Fracking Friday). :-)

At the Turquoise Grill

Amy, Brian, John and I went to the Turquoise Grill on Saturday for a friend of Amy's birthday. It was a bit crowded but we all had a good time visiting and enjoying the belly dancers.

Ike

Hurricane Ike was a serious distruption to life here in Houston. We lost power for 1 week! These are various pictures of the damage we saw around houston.

Corkscrew with GaryV

Our friends Danny and Tory met us at the Corkscrew in the Heights on Saturday night for a Vayniac meet up. Gary Vaynerchuk organized the get together and he is a fantastic host. Gary must have provided 12 wines or more and everyone was having a blast sampling the different ones. I was in my Official Vayniac T-Shirt so we got to meet everyone as they knew I was there for the gathering. Amy and I are hopeful we can start up a Third Thirsty Thursday group here in Houston now that we have seen how many cool people are Vayniacs here.

Dinner with the Rents

Amy and I went to my parents after the 12 - 3 trip to Vino 100 in the Woodlands where we got to hang out with Gary Vaynerchuk. We then went to my parents and cooked a steak and enjoyed a good bottle of Cab Franc that we had purchased a Vino 100. Fun was had by all.

Gary Vaynerchuk

We got to meet Gary Vaynerchuk at the Woodlands Wine Festival. Amy and I were both very excited about it and we were not disappointed. Gary is a cool in person as he appears on his video blog. We also got to meet two other Vayniac couples while there. We spent the rest of the evening with one of the couples, Mike and Judy. We all had a blast.
